Rob Gordon | | Hi, I am in the early stages of setting up a community portal for international business. I need a few people from here to help me with this "alpha stage" testing. This really just involves setting up a professional profile with a picture, and letting me know what works and what doesn't. I will also need advice on setting the "permissions" for this service, so that people get maximum utility without opening it up to spammers. Rob Gordon | | No more takers yet? I only need about 20 people to help me with this initial alpha test. The only thing I really need is for a few people to post a professional business overview with a profile picture. I probably should mention this this has really good privacy controls, including the ability to completely delete your profile if you decide later you don't want it there. Again, it is at this link:

Rob Gordon | | UPDATE: I built this late last year, then sent a message to this board mentioning it. About 30 people joined and agreed to help with the Alpha test. Unfortunately, some other things came up, and I didn't manage this alpha tests as well as I should have, For the last several weeks, I have been getting a "guilt jolt" once or twice a week when some new member joins. Well the more I think about it, the more I think this this could be a really cool thing so I have jumped back in and am actively working on this again.
This new effort made me realize I had put too many limits on some of the member services so have expanded the capabilities of this service greatly. With the free accounts, this now provides:
-International Business Profile
-Professional Business Blog
-Product and Service Advertisements
-Small Photo Gallery
-Private messaging to other members
-Participate in Member Forums
-Post Meetings and Events
I am going to start calling this the "beta test" from now on, as the system is far more user friendly than when I first put it up, though it still needs some work.
If anyone here would like to help test this please visit the link below. The 35 or so there now really do look like a talented group of people. I'll be sending out a broadcast message to this this site shortly, but I would also like to find more international business professionals to join this - I'd like to take the number up to 100 or so qualified members for the beta test.
Please join below if you would describe yourself as an "international business professional". Also, if anyone has any thoughts on good places to get the word out on this please let me know.
